Less than a week to go. I don't have a date but I do have a dress, which I'm okay with. Apparently my grandmother is not but there's not much I can do about that. After all, she considers it improper for a girl to ask a boy to a function. |

Now Quidditch is over for the month, it seems people have moved on to talking about the Sweetheart's Ball. I heard a 4th year telling her friend how she's charmed her alarm clock to count down the days for her. Well, at least she's practicing her charms?
I'm expecting an owl from Mum with catalogues any time now. Although, to be honest, I don't see why I can't wear one of the two dozen dresses I already have. I've only worn them once each and only those of you who saw me at functions over the holidays have seen them anyway. Nevermind, I suppose I might as well go ahead and indulge. I'd never hear the end of it otherwise, I fear. |

I'm all psyched up for the game tomorrow. The couple of weeks we've been back have been all about balancing; practicing as much as possible without wearing myself out or risking an injury, leaving time to get homework done, etc. I have a good feeling about tomorrow.
[warded to self] Hopefully Scorpius isn't too distracted trying to figure out what Jasmine Zabini is up to. I've had half a mind to tell him but a) I don't really want to get involved and b) she's probably got some sort of hex going to protect against telltales anyway. [/end ward] |

[warded to self] I got a letter from Grandmother this morning. She asked who I've been talking to since I got back. Next thing I know she'll be reading what I write in these journals and quoting me. Wait ... [/end ward]
There's no possible way my Grandmother anyone outside of Hogwarts could read these journals, right? |

Wow, I slept incredibly well last night. I don't know why but I always sleep so much better in my bed here than I do at home. I suppose they have to make the beds comfortable or else we'd never sleep (and then we'd never get up for lessons). But I digress. All I wanted to say is that it's good to be back. |

Hm, today is my last day in London before going back to school tomorrow and I don't know what to do with myself. I've been staying at The Leaky Cauldron since Wednesday and I've exhausted the delights of Diagon Alley (and also exhausted my Christmas money from Grandmother in Twilfitt and Tatting's, much to her delight).
So, I'm taking suggestions as to how to spend my last day here. |

Since there's a whole week left before school starts up again and I absolutely refuse to go to one more dinner party seem to have exhausted all of the activities Aberdeen has to offer, I'm thinking of heading on down to London and spending a few days there before going back to school. I seem to have acquired a dozen new dresses this holiday but I still need some new robes so I want to go to Madam Malkin's. Ordering out of a catalogue isn't the same. Dad said I could go if I wanted so I'm going to see about booking a room at The Leaky Cauldron. I'm sure Grandmother would find me someone to stay with if I asked but I'd rather not have someone spying on me a babysitter, thank you very much. |
